GAMES WORKSHOP AT THE AUSTIN LAIR
Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® Austin is proud to host plenty of Games Workshop events! Not only do we have an entire gaming wall dedicated to Games Workshop miniatures, books and accessories, but we have two dedicated gaming areas with tables and tabletops specifically measured, designed and built for Games Workshop play! We also have boxes and boxes of terrain available for use (just please put it up when you’re done!)

WARHAMMER FANTASY
Warhammer, The game of Fantasy Battles, allows you to wage war with armies of Citadel miniatures across tabletop battlefields in the ultimate contest of strategy and skill. Each player is a general, who must choose his finest warriors, decide upon cunning battle plans and strategies and lead his followers to victory or death. Games can vary in size from small skirmishes of just a few dozen models per side, to massive clashes with literally hundreds of miniatures.
WARHAMMER 40K
Warhammer 40,000, the tabletop battlegame of the far future, allows you to wage war with armies of Citadel miniatures across miniature battlefields in the ultimate contest of strategy and skill. Each player is a commander who must choose his finest warriors, decide upon cunning battle plans and strategies and lead his army to victory or death. BLOOD BOWL
Blood Bowl is board game that is one of the Specialist Games that Games Workshop has published along time ago. All the Teams, Models and the box set are special order now from GW but the rule book is free to download on the GW website. The game itself it a kind of an alternate setting for Warhammer Fantasy where instead of battles they play Blood Bowl but they have all the familiar races have teams. Orcs, Elves, even Humans use skill and sharp implements to win games. Become a Blood Bowl Coach and lead your team to victory!
LORD OF THE RINGS
The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game is a miniatures war game that allows you to fight an opponent with armies of The Lord of the Rings models across the tabletop. Using finely detailed Citadel miniatures, you can enact key scenes from the books and movies to see if you would fare better than Aragorn, Gandalf or even the Witch-king. And don’t forget that you’re in no way bound by the narrative constraints of the story; all of Middle-earth is there for you to destroy, invade or rescue.

DREADFLEET
Released October 1, 2011, Dreadfleet is a limited edition 2-10 player game set in the Warhammer Fantasy world. One player takes command of the Grand Alliance which is composed of the greatest pirate captains, whilst the other commands the Dreadfleet, a force composed of undead captains and their skeleton crews.

EVENTS
The Austin Lair offers a wide variety of Games Workshop play ranging from open play nights to regular tournaments. We also host Ard Boyz and other Games Workshop special events.
If you want to keep up to date with Games Workshop events at the Austin Lair, you can subscribe to our newsletter!
The Austin Lair is happy to provide terrain and tables for Games Workshop play, but we ask our gamers to please keep our store clean by disposing of trash and putting away terrain.
OPEN MINIS PLAY
Open Minis Play is just that – we have open tables on a first-come first-served basis! This event is for more than just Games Workshop miniatures play; any and all miniature games are welcome!
• Tuesday nights at 7 PM
• Warhammer Miniatures Night – Thursday nights at 7 PM
ORGANIZED PLAY
The Austin Lair offers several recurring Games Workshop events each month. These are a little different from some of our other Recurring Events.
• There is no pre-registration for recurring Games Workshop Events. These events fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Unless otherwise notes, we follow the Games Workshop rules.

TOURNAMENTS
Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® Austin holds several Games Workshop events every month for both Warhammer 40K and Warhammer Fantasy.
Each tournament you participate in will count towards your eventual victory in our Warhammer leagues!

BLOOD BOWL LEAGUE
The Austin Blood Bowl League meets at Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® Austin every Wednesday night at 7 PM!
WARHAMMER 40K KIDS’ CAMP
Every wish there was a summer camp for miniature gamers, run by miniature gamers? Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® Austin has just that!
• Warhammer 40K Kids’ Summer Camp Program
Kids 11-17 can be registered for one of two sessions – Beginner or Advanced. Beginner players get a chance to learn the basic rules, strategies and modeling skills needed to successfully play Warhammer 40K. Our Advanced campers get the chance to learn tips, tricks and advanced strategies, in-depth modeling and basing skills and learn the fine art of creating a truly devastating army.
Camp Dates:
• Beginner’s Camp: June 19-22 12PM – 5PM.
• Advanced Camp: June 26-29 12PM – 5PM.
