Warhammer 40K Ard Boyz 2011 Preliminaries

‘Ard Boyz Tournaments are a three-part, competitive series of events hosted by Independant Retailers across North America. Unlike the traditional tournament format you may be familiar with that takes into consideration your painting and sportsmanship, the ‘Ard Boyz Tournaments focus on one thing and one thing only – how well you play the game! These tournaments are the place to field that nasty list you felt guilty about playing, or that massive horde army you couldn’t hope to paint in time.

WHAT: Warhammer 40K Ard Boyz Preliminaries
FORMAT: 2500 pts
• Each player must bring 4 typed copies of their list. Printing will not be available on-site.

There are only 30 slots. We recommend all interested players pre-register.

Registration

Please contact Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® Austin to pre-register. All participants must provide:

• Name
• Phone number
• valid email address (please check this address often in case we send out updates.)

You can register by:

• Phone: 512-454-2399. Please leave a message if you call after hours.
• Email: events@dlair.net. Please include ‘Ard Boyz Registration’ in your subject line. Please include NAME, PHONE NUMBER and EMAIL in your registration email.
• Walk-In: Walk-in pre-registration is welcome.

Once you have pre-registered, you have a reserved slot for 40K Ard Boyz 2011.

As per Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® Austin Pre-registration policy, all reserved slots will be held until 15 minutes prior to the event, at which point reserved slots are no longer reserved. Those slots will be opened on a first-come, first-served basis or at the Event Coordinator’s discretion.

Rules

What you should bring:

• Your Army
• At least 4 copies of your Army list
• Rulebook
• Any other books your need
• Pen & paper
• Dice
• Templates
• Tape measure
• Super glue
• Additional supplies you know you need by no one else will think of!

Rules

• No more than 2500 points may be used in building your army
• Only the main army lists may be used for the army in question. No appendix lists are permitted.
• Named (special) characters are permitted, but are subject to the normal restrictions for that character in the army book
• Only armies listed in the Approved Army Lists of the 40K Ard Boyz 2011 Rules PDF may be taken.
• Any mounts, weapons and upgrades must be modeled on the miniatures. (WSYIWYG)
• Any conversions must begin as Citadel models and contain a majority of Citadel compnents
• Non-Citadel models may not be used in the event
• Forge World models are not permitted in the tournament, but they can only be used to represent models from the existing Army list.
• No Forge World rules are allowed
