The new Magic the Gathering set, Avacyn Restored, is due out beginning May 4th.  Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® Bellevue will be having two pre-release events the weekend before the release and a very special midnight release event.

On Saturday April 28th at 2pm and Sunday April 29th at noon we will be having pre-release events.  These will be Sealed format, entry price is $25.  Each of these events will have a Helvault.  The Helvault is an extra kit of prizes above your normal amount that are given out at the pre-release.

Then, on Thursday at midnight (technically Friday morning) we will be having our first special midnight release event.  This will be a Draft format, $12 to buy in, and since it is past midnight we will be selling Avacyn Restored product (or any other product you happen to want) at that time.  Get it here before anyone else!

April’s RPG-a-month is Earthdawn, originally published by FASA and now owned by Mongoose Publishing.  The event will take place on April 14th with two sessions: one from noon-4pm, and one from 5pm-9pm.  From the Mongoose Publishing web site:

This month on March 24th at 1pm we will be playing Victoriana,Cubicle 7′s fantasy/steampunk RPG set in Victorian Britain.  New players are welcome,  play is free and characters are provided.

Dragon’s Lair in Bellevue will be hosting all this year an event where you can play a new RPG each month!  These events are designed for new players (pre-generated characters will be provided), but experienced players are welcome as well.  Most of these will be all ages accessible, though some games may necessarily be spooky enough to rate a PG-13, and all will be free to play.

The first event is on Saturday, February the 18th at 1pm when we will be playing World of Darkness from White Wolf Publishing.
