Next Saturday, October 29th, Dragon’s Lair Bellevue will be holding a Halloween Party and Special Innistrad Tournament! Given it’s horror themes, we think Innistrad is the perfect set for Halloween. Players will be asked to make a 60 card deck before the day of the event. The catch? Your deck must be themed after one of the major Innistrad factions. Werewolves, Vampires, Spirits, Zombies or Inquisitors/Monster Hunters. Each deck can only include creature cards specific to the faction chosen. However, normal humans can be placed in Inquisitor/Monster Hunter decks, Spirit decks, and Zombie decks. Angels can be used in Inquisitor/Monster Hunter decks. You may use cards from other standard-legal sets besides Innistrad as long as the creatures are of the chosen faction. On the 29th we’ll be pitting factions against each other. Winning players will get to pick from a prize pool of booster packs, and those who played the same faction as our top winners will get a voucher to play in any upcoming Dragon’s Lair MTG Booster draft FREE of charge! The event will start at 2pm and will be $5 to play.

Coming soon we will have a pre-release of the new Magic the Gathering set Innistrad. On Saturday September 24th at 2pm we will be having a pre-release event, sealed constructed format, $25 entry fee. Then, one week later on Saturday October 1st at 2pm we will be having a sealed constructed format launch event. You may pre-register for these events any time the week of the event. We have had a completely full house in the past, so pre-registration is recommended.

Among the prize pool for each of these events will be one From the Vault: Legends set, plus additional prizes to be determined later.

Dragon’s Lair Bellevue is also trying out a new method to keep in contact with our customers via text messages. Simply text “alltxt dragon” to 368674 to opt in to receive periodic (probably 1-2 times/week) updates on events and specials. What is Free RPG Day you ask? Well it’s a bit like Free Comic Book Days except with RPGs. There will be free modules, games, and even a few dice. Check out a list of what exacly will be available at http://freerpgday.com. First come, first served, and supplies are limited, so come by early!

Also on the 18th starting at 2pm we have our MtG: Commander release event! This is a casual play event, so there’s no tournament involved and thus no fee, but we do have promo cards for those who stop by and play!

Friday through Sunday we’ll be having sales, cake, cookies, balloons, and a costume contest. Come in costume and you could win a gift certificate!

On Saturday, not only will we be giving out free comics, but Scott Kurtz of PVP Online (http://www.pvponline.com) and Kris Straub of Chainsawsuit (http://www.chainsawsuit.com) will be here from Noon to 4pm doing signings.
