September 4-6, OK nothing this weekend, but with PAX and Bumbershoot we decided not to try and compete. However, if you won’t be at either of those events in town, come on in for open gaming!

September 11 is Worldwide D&D Game Day in celebration on the re-release of the red box basic set for 4e! In addition to D&D games that day, we will also have a special preview of Gamma World (set for release in October).

September 18 is the 24th anniversary of Dragon’s Lair! We will be having signings from 4-8pm with Steve Frank of Zombies vs. Cheerleaders and Mark Rahner, author of Rotten and Cthulthu Tale.

September 23rd is our Scars of Mirrodin pre-release event

and spilling over into October, we have:

October 2nd is out Scars of Mirrodin release event

October 3rd is a special Green Ronin anniversary party, where we will be celebrating Green Ronin Games’ anniversary and its release of the DC Adventures RPG.

And here’s all the gamers that showed up.  This was when we had Paranoia, Rifts, and D&D 4E all running simultaneously!

What RPG events will we have, you ask? Check out our calendar! We have Paranoia, Earthdawn, and Call of Cthulhu events running pretty much all day. Please sign up at the store to ensure a spot in any particular game.  Due to content, the Call of Cthulhu game is restricted to players age 16 or over.  Don’t see a game you want to play?  We still have room for more if you are or know of a GM who can run a game!

Also, from 1pm-4pm we are pleased to welcome the local Garrison Titan of the 501st Stormtrooper division!

Dragon’s Lair Bellevue is still under construction, but is rapidly shaping up.  While we regret that we won’t quite be ready for business this Saturday, May 1st for Free Comic Book Day, we WILL still have free comics to hand out.  Feel free to stop by the store and check out our location, and get some free comics also!  Our location is at 14725 NE 20th St, Bellevue WA 98007, in the Sternco Shopping Center at 148th Ave NE and 20th St, right next to the IHOP.

We are planning for our grand opening for May 14th-16th.  Stay tuned for more announcements about the store opening and guests for the grand opening!

Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy, is a store that has specialized in comic books, graphic novels, manga and traditional gaming for more than 20 years is opening soon in Bellevue Washington!

Owner David Miller, a former software developer, is returning to his first loves of comics and games: “I’ve always wanted to open a comic book and game store,” says Miller, “and I love the Seattle area. I’ve felt that Seattle’s Eastside has been underserved in terms of comics and games, so I thought that would be a perfect spot for a new store.”

Although a location has not yet been secured, the store is expected to celebrate its Grand Opening on May 14th!
