The Painting Contest Begins on Sunday, August 1. The model to be entered cannot have been previously painted and must be painted by the entrant. Entries must be completed by August 31st. Judging will take place from September 1st through September 5th, and winners will be announced on Labor Day (September 6th).

We will have Three Categories:

• Hero (HQ, Hero, Lord, Warcaster, Special Character, single Reaper model, etc) – 25/28mm


• Units (25/28mm, Cavalry Units included. Should meet the rules from for the game from which the models are taken from to define a legal unit (ie minimums, maximums, armament, etc)


• Warmachine (40mm+, tanks, ‘jacks, ‘beasts, warmachines, monsters).

Rules & Restrictions:

• Again, the model must be unpainted at the start of the contest (8/1) and completed by the end (8/31).


• The unpainted model(s) can be taken from the Reaper, Citadel, or Privateer Press lines. There is no fee.


• Limit 1 entry per category per participant.


• There will be prizes for the top winner in each category.


• We will be having Open Painting Days, each Friday of the month so participants can paint in a friendly atmosphere and patrons can see their progress.


• As part of the entry you must sign a form stating that the entry(ies) will be newly painted models and that the work was your own.


• Employees of Dragon’s Lair Comics and Fantasy cannot participate and are ineligible for prizes awarded from this competition.
