Store History
Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® first opened our doors on September 3, 1986 in Austin, Texas! Originally, we only carried comics and related accessories but we have long since expanded our business model. Now every Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy proudly sells comics, graphic novels, manga, action figures, collectibles, board & card games, role-playing games and miniature games.
Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® San Antonio was Excalibur Comics until 2002! We’ve proudly been Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® ever since, working closely with Radio Comix and Antarctic Press – both right here in San Antonio! We are the premiere miniature gaming store in San Antonio, offering six gaming rooms, two of which are specifically designed and equipped for miniature games!
We are also actively involved in charity efforts with the San Antonio Food Bank and Toys For Tots!
Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® is expanding, offering franchise opportunities all over the US! Just recently, we opened our very first franchise in Bellevue, Washington and we hope for many more to come!
