Join Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® in celebrating Free Comic Book Summer on set Saturdays during the summer of 2020!
Due to the impact of Covid-19, Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy® in Austin, Texas, was not able to have its normal Free Comic Book Day on the first Saturday in May. The risk of having 1000+ people in the store over an 8-hour period, was simply one we were unwilling to take.
Diamond Comics has been monitoring the pandemic and announced their plans for FCBD last week. They’ve changed the event to Free Comic Book Summer and given us between July 15th and September 13th to hold our event. So, we’ve been in re-planning mode!
In order to accommodate social distancing and store capacity regulations, we’ve decided to hold three separate “events”. We will have a table set up with the offerings for each mini FCBS event and our staff will pull/bag the books (limit one of each title while supplies last) for each customer.
Our three events will be held on August 1st, August 22nd and September 12th from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. The books for each event are listed below. Please keep in mind that do to the pandemic shipping may be off slightly so titles may not arrive as noted. If that occurs, we will announce those changes as soon as we have the information.
We will also provide curbside delivery on the day of each FCBS event, as well as shipping options (shipping costs will be applied).
