Perhaps you’ve heard of Heroclix, or seen it sitting on our shelves at the store and been intrigued but unsure of what it has to offer compared to our other great products. If so, this break down is for you!
Heroclix is a collectible miniatures game which uses a HUGE number of IPs to make figures so that you can create a team of your favorite characters! Franchises represented include DC, Marvel, Star Trek, TMNT, Gears of War, Halo and more. The possibilities for crafting your perfect team are virtually endless, so each time and team you play against can also be vastly different from one match to the next, keeping your gameplay constantly challenging, evolving, and interesting!
The game first started back in 2002, and utilizes a combat dial system for keeping track of each figure’s stats as the game goes on. The dial turns or “clicks” to adjust for damage and even reveal special abilities. Each character has a corresponding card showing these stats and abilities but not where they are located on the dial. Battles are played out on grid maps by 2-4 players ideally.
Wizkids, the producers of Heroclix, continue to keep the game fresh and fun with ongoing story campaigns and events in addition to new character series. Be sure to check them out the next time you’re in the Lair!
