It’s February 14th and love is in the air…or is it? Whether you love or hate this holiday, Love Letter is a game everyone can enjoy! This is a game of risk, deduction and luck that is short and sweet with an average play time of 20 minutes.
The plot is simple – you are competing against one another to get your love letter to a princess who has sequestered herself in her palace. Easy to learn, set up and play, 2-4 participants draw one card from a deck of 16 cards, and each turn you draw and play one card. This may seem to make options limited but there are a number of tactics that players can utilize as they eliminate one another from the game. You’ll be surprised how engaging and cutthroat things can become!
Love Letter has been a favorite among players for ten years, and has numerous versions available (many of which have no romantic themes despite the name) including Love Letter: Batman, Love Letter Star Wars, Lovecraft Letter, and Love Letter Premium. Each of these has the same basic mechanics as the original Love Letter game described above, and centers on hand management and deduction. Whatever you choose, we’ll be excited to see you this week at the Lair!
